Documentation of the creation process of an artwork by Anastasia Sigidina—a student at Tokyo University of the Arts, oil painting department.
The work was exhibited at the Tokyo University of the Arts cultural festival in September 2026.
Project description from the project creator:

Using my own body as a motif, I materialized the "Ecdysis" I go through each time there is a radical change in my life, to answer the question of how much of your own body you can leave in a painting.
I became the corpse, covering myself in red oil to prepare for the burial. My mother became the mourner, making sure the cloth is covering me properly, and my talented friend Anastasiya Hamaguchi became the funeral celebrant, photographing the whole process.
This oil is my skin, and this canvas is my Shroud.
